I’m already so proud to be Australian, but dealing with the Australian embassy in Ireland just reinforced how lucky I am to call such a place my home country. I have never dealt with such an efficient, kind and wonderful embassy before - dare I say, probably establishment in general. David was an absolute kind and friendly soul. We made a mistake with applying for my daughter’s passport post citizenship, and they didn’t shame us or tell us too, bad too sad - they simply helped us to sort it out. They were super friendly to our children too, gave them little kangaroo teddies, and showed them to a stack of children’s books for them to read through/poster to colour in. Every single person we interacted with (from the very first phone call), to the wonderful security man (whose name has escaped me unfortunately, but he was delightful), to the staff wishing us well when exiting the building - was so amazing. It was a very enjoyable little outing that we were so surprised to encounter, as it was meant to be a stressful administrative task. Thanks Australian embassy Ireland !
